Intraoral radiographies are a very useful tool for the dentist to carry out an adequate diagnosis. These radiographies can be taken singularly, to highlight both dental and periodontal defects.

Initially the dentist takes two impressions of the dental arches of the patient. Thanks to these impressions the dental technician will be able to produce two transparent masks, that will fit perfectly on the dental arches of the patient. The peculiarity of these masks is the presence, on the outer surface, of tanks that will contain the whitening gel. At this point the dentist will show the patient how to put the gel on the masks and how to wear them.

IMPLANT SURGERY deals with the replacement of missing teeth (or the ones excessively compromised) with titanium bone implants which support dental prosthesis of various types and extension. These two different treatment options, the one conservative (periodontics) and the replacement one (implantology), are not mutually opposite, but they represent different therapy choices that have different indications. Sometimes it is possible to use periodontal therapies that allow the recovery of the natural tooth.

The chewing surfaces (or occlusal surfaces) of the molars have deep fissures into which the bacteria plaque can infiltrate and get trapped. These areas are highly exposed to the risk of tooth decay even when a proper dental hygiene is implemented. A dental sealant is a is a special white-transparent resin that continuously releases fluoride ions, that is made slide into the occlusal fissures, that have been previously treated with an acid to make them porous, and to efficiently stick the sealant, that hardens thanks to the use of halogen lamps, and that, once applied, prevents the bacteria plaque to penetrate inside the fissures.

Early orthodontics begins in an early age and provides the best results. It requires an early diagnosis and an early intervention. With this approach dental extractions are useless. In this case, fixed dental braces are to be used, even if sometimes the therapy may start, only for a short period, with the use of mobile braces.
